Art 9 Cinema in Seoul’s Seocho-gu is holding a special film festival aimed at expats over the Chuseok holidays.
The ChewSock Film Festival will show nine feature films and a selection of short films on Sept. 18 and again on Sept. 19. The films are selected as the best Korean films of the past year, and will be shown with English subtitles.
Festival organizers said they wanted to provide something entertaining for foreigners to do over the holidays when Koreans are spending time with their families.
They are plan to raise funds to run cultural events such as concerts, traditional games, a barbecue and a closing party in Itaewon, via crowdfunding site www.funding21.com.
You can find more information about the films and a link to buy tickets on the “ChewSock Korean Film Festival for Bored Expats” Facebook page.
