Gangnam District in southern Seoul plans to open a hallyu-themed street in September promote tourism and Korean Wave stars.
A photo zone and “stamp tour” will be offered along the K Star Road ― spanning 1.08 kilometers between the headquarters of S.M. Entertainment and Cube Entertainment. S.M. Entertainment will also open its doors for free visits once a week.
Some shops will be designated as hallyu street attractions, helping tourists make the most of their visit.
Celebrity hand-printings, souvenirs, and a gallery will be added by next year as the second stage of the K Star Road development plan.
A mobile application will also be available soon.
This is part of the district’s K Road project, which develops streets with characteristic themes, such as K Fashion Road and K GOURMET Road.
