The Seoul Global Center is running weekend classes for those preparing for the Test of Proficiency in Korean in October.
The courses run from Aug. 10 to Oct. 12, and are available for all TOPIK levels.
The courses are aimed at preparing for the TOPIK on Oct. 20, with elementary on Saturdays from 12:30-2 p.m., advanced on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. and intermediate on Sundays at 10-11:30 a.m.
The SGC will also run its autumn term of Korean classes from Sept. 2 to Nov. 29.
Classes are free and applications are accepted in person only at the center on July 23 and 24.
The classes are open to all foreign residents and range from beginner to intermediate.
Classes are 90 minutes long and run two days a week in the mornings or evenings, with the schedule depending on the level.
Placement tests on July 30 and 31 will determine the level of the class, with classes filling up on a first-come, first-served basis. Classes take place at the SGC offices in Jongno. There is no course fee but students must buy their own textbook.
TOPIK courses are also available at intermediate and advanced levels during the autumn term.
