스노든에게 공개 청혼한 러시아 미녀 스파이는 누구?

미국에서 간첩혐의로 체포됐다가 러시아로 송환된 '미녀 스파이' 안나 채프먼(31)이 깜짝 공개 구혼을 했다.

상대는 최근 미국 정보수집 기밀을 폭로해 모스크바 국제공항의 환승 구역에 은신한 것으로 알려진 에드워드 스노든(30)이다.

영국 데일리메일과 미국 뉴욕포스트 등은 3일(현지시간) 채프먼이 트위터로 "스노든, 나와 결혼할래요?"(Will you marry me?)라고 청혼했다고 보도했다.

매우 짧은 이 말 한마디로 채프먼은 다시 한 번 세인의 관심을 받고 있다.

채프먼은 2010년 다른 러시아 스파이 9명과 함께 미국 연방수사국(FBI)에 체포 됐다. 이후 러시아가 서방 스파이라고 주장한 4명과 맞교환하는 방식으로 본국에 송환됐다.

미모의 채프먼은 러시아 안팎에서 TV 진행자, 모델, 강사 등으로 활동해 주목을 받았다.

전직 중앙정보국(CIA) 직원인 스노든은 미국 정보기관의 광범위한 정보수집 행태를 세상에 알렸다.

그는 최근 거의 2주째 모스크바 국제공항 환승 구역에서 지내면서 정치적 망명을 모색하고 있다.

Russian spy proposes to Snowden

Former Russian spy agent Anna Chapman proposed to the U.S. whistleblower Edward Snowden on Wednesday.

“Snowden, will you marry me?” Chapman tweeted from Russia, according to the New York Post.

The 31-year-old was deported back to Russia in a prisoner swap with the U.S. after her arrest on espionage charges with other nine spies in 2010.

Following her return to Russia, Chapman worked as a model, became the celebrity face of a Moscow bank and hosted her own television show.

The NSA leaker has been stuck in the transit lounge of a Moscow airport for almost two weeks to avoid U.S. espionage charges after leaking details of a vast U.S. phone and Internet surveillance program.
