RE/MAX Korea aims to revolutionize the nation’s real estate market with its advanced consulting know-how, company officials said.

The real estate consulting agency was established in May by Wide Partners Co. in Korea and RE/MAX, the world’s top property consulting company.

Established in 1973, the U.S.-based real estate franchise company RE/MAX entered the Korean market in 2012. It has a wide overseas network, with more than 7,000 offices in 90 countries.

“We will work on creating a new paradigm and get through this unprecedented sluggish real estate market slump in Korea by combining Wide Partners’ rich human resources with RE/MAX’s advanced asset consulting techniques,” said Shin Heui-seong, CEO of RE/MAX Korea.

Company officials said RE/MAX chose to work with Wide Partners among about 30 hopefuls in accordance with CEO Shin’s vision and passion.

“RE/MAX can trade real estate around the world through its website (www. global.remax.com). It is very easy for people to get access to the site as it provides 40 language services,” Shin said.

He said now was a good time to invest in real estate, adding that Chinese investors were paying particular attention to the Korean market and that more Koreans were interested in overseas real estate transactions.
