대북 소식통은 15일 북한 김정은 노동당 제 1비서가 슬하에 딸 2명을 두고 있다고 밝혔다.

소식통에 따르면 김정은의 부인 리설주는 작년 12월 말 딸을 순산했다. 그러나 이에 앞서 김정은은 2010년 하반기쯤 첫 딸을 얻은 것으로 알려졌다.

이 소식통은 첫딸을 리설주가 낳았는지는 확실하지 않다고 했다.

그 이유에 대해서는 “리설주가 은하수 관현악단으로 활동하면서 김정은이 딸을 얻은 2010년에도 무대를 섰다”며 “북한 체제의 특성상 임신한 ‘세자빈’이 무대에 오르는 것은 상상하기 어렵다”고 말했다.

한편, 김정은의 형 김정철 역시 2010년에 아들을 낳았다고 한다. 소식통은 세습체제인 북한 정권에서 김위원장이 아들을 통해 백두혈통을 이어가야하기 때문에 측근들은 그가 딸만 둘인 점을 염려하고 있다고 밝혔다.(코리아 헤럴드)

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has two daughters, a Korean newspaper claimed on Thursday, citing an unnamed source.

Ri Sol-ju, Kim’s wife, gave birth to his second child last December, according to the source, Hankook Ilbo said.

The paper said that it remains unknown whether his first daughter, born in late 2010, is also from Ri Sol-ju, because she appeared on stage as a singer of Unhasu Orchestra that year. The sources said “it is unimaginable for the pregnant ‘princess’ to perform on stage in the secretive regime.”

Ri Sol-ju gave birth to a healthy daughter, according to American basketball legend Dennis Rodman who visited Pyongyang in February this year.

The source added that the North Korean leader’s closest confidants are worried because only sons are allowed to succeed to the leader’s throne in the regime.
