Singer Jang Yoon-jeong’s pre-interview for SBS talk show “Healing Camp” was leaked last week, exposing her family’s private matters. The news was that the trot queen was heavily in debt due to her mother and brother.

During the pre-interview, Jang cleared up rumors about her fiance approaching her for her money.

“One day I checked my bank account and all I saw was a negative balance of 1 billion won. At this news, my father suffered a stroke,” she said. Since then her parents have filed for divorce and Jang has been living with her father. 

The enormous negative balance turned out to be due to her mother’s excessive investment into Jang’s younger brother’s many unsuccessful businesses ventures without Jang’s permission. According to a report, her mother also has heavy gambling debt.

Jang added, “Despite all this, Do Kyung-wan and his family accepted me. I am so thankful that my future in-laws understood my situation.” She is said to have only brought her father and her agency CEO to meet her fianc’s parents.

Jang’s management Inwoo Entertainment confirmed that everything that has been reported is true. “Healing Camp” has issued an official statement with a formal apology to Jang.

The episode of “Healing Camp” featuring Jang, meanwhile, was recorded on Tuesday as scheduled.
