‘Michael Jackson looked to be at end of long illness’
Michael Jackson looked to be suffering from a “long disease process” on the day of his death, a paramedic who answered the emergency call told the court Tuesday.
A Los Angeles county paramedic Richard Senneff testified as the first witness in the legal feud between Jackson’s family and the singer’s tour promoter AEG Live. Jackson’s mother Katharine Jackson sued AEG for wrongful death, claiming her son was sacrificed by the company which ignored his health problems in pursuit of profit.
Senneff said the 50-year-old singer looked very ill, like someone who had suffering from a disease for a long time. The paramedic said Jackson was vey pale and “very, very underweight.”
According to Senneff, Jackson’s doctor Conrad Murray told him that the emergency happened “just this minute.” Senneff added that Jackson appeared to be already dead.
The “King of Pop” died on June 25, 2009 from an overdose of surgical anesthetic propofol, administered by Murray. Murray was convicted for involuntary manslaughter in 2011, and was sentenced to four years in prison.
