This season’s “K Pop Star 2” winners, Akdong Musician, released their new single “I Love You” online Wednesday, which shot up to first place on eight major music charts within two hours, pushing Psy’s “Gentleman” and Cho Yong-pil’s “Hello” down the list.
Without any showcase or promotion, the brother-sister duo managed to put their name ahead of the two megastars.
The song, part of the original soundtrack for SBS’ romantic comedy drama “All About My Romance,” was recorded just before their departure to Mongolia where they live with their Christian missionary parents. The original song once again features witty lyrics and a unique melody. The music video is scheduled for release in May.
The siblings have returned home to Mongolia for about a month to spend time with their parents and to rest after the long, strenuous competition.
