The 23-year-old Russian-German DJ and music producer Anton Zaslavski, best known by his stage name Zedd, will be spinning live in Seoul at the Walkerhill Hotel’s Walkerhill Theater on April 6.

The young DJ, who was named MTV’s 2013 “Artist to Watch,” has made a name for himself as one of the top producers in the EDM scene and has produced remixes of well-known artists such as Lady Gaga, Skrillex, The Black Eyed Peas, Diddy, Fatboy Slim and many others.

DJ Zedd is a classically trained musician who began playing the piano at age 4 and the drums later on as a teenager. In 2002, when he was just 12 years old, Zedd joined the heavy metal rock band trio Dioramic and began composing and producing music for the group.

However, after hearing the French electronic duo group Justice in 2009, Zedd discovered the world of house music and this led him down the path of DJing and producing electronic music. In 2012, he produced the hit tracks “I Don’t Like You” for Eva Simons and Justin Bieber’s “Beauty and a Beat.”

Last year Zedd signed on with Interscope Records and released the single “Spectrum,” featuring Matthew Koma, which hit the No. 1 spot on the U.S. Billboard’s Dance Club Song Chart. The DJ then released his debut EDM album titled “Clarity” last October and was listed as iTunes “Breakthrough Album of the Year (Dance).” The album’s title track of the same name, featuring Foxes, also topped Billboard’s Dance Club Chart, making his mark as not only a noteworthy producer, but a budding DJ as well.

Along with his work as a DJ, Zedd is currently working on the production of Lady Gaga’s highly anticipated new album, “ARTPOP,” which is expected to be released sometime this year.

Tickets to Zedd’s show for those 19 and older can be purchased online at interpark.com.
