The Web and app-based digital notebook service, Evernote, is asking all users to change their passwords after a hacking incident, the company said.

Evernote said that no user content and person notes were accessed, but hackers were likely able to access user names, email address and encrypted passwords.

"While our password encryption measures are robust, we are taking additional steps to ensure that your personal data remains secure," Evernote wrote on its blog.

The incident is the latest in a series of other breaches, ABC News said.

In February, Twitter announced that 250,000 accounts were compromised. Facebook and Apple were also targets of hackers, ABC news reported. (UPI)

‘해킹 경보’ 에버노트, 유출 정도는


클라우드 기반 디지털 메모장 서비스 에버노트가 해킹사건 이후 사용자의 비밀번호 변경을 요청했다고 에버노트 관계자는 전했다.

에버노트는 애플리케이션 속 정보와 노트는 유출되지 않았지만 사용자 아이디, 이메일 주소와 암호화된 비밀번호가 해커들에 의해 노출될 수 있다고 밝혔다.

에버노트는 자사 공식 블로그에 “사용자의 비밀번호는 암호화되어 있기 때문에 안전하지만, 사용자 개인 데이터의 보안을 더욱 철저하게 보장하기 위한 조치를 취하기로 했다”고 언급했다.

이번 사건은 잇따른 해킹 사건 중 하나라고 ABC방송은 전했다.
