A number of TV entertainment programs nowadays feature children on their show to capture viewers’ hearts.

“Appa Odeiga” (Daddy, where are we going?) is a popular TV entertainment show which features children going on overnight trips with their celebrity fathers. The program captures the unique personalities of each child and their relationship with their fathers.

“Voice Korea Kids” also enjoys high viewer rating with its young participants. The survival audition program features young children who are talented at singing to compete with each other.

Such programs are especially popular with older viewers.

“The five children in ‘Appa Odeika’ are just so adorable. Their spontaneous words and actions make me laugh. Watching the show became a huge part of my weekend leisure time,” one Twitter user in his 50s said.

Despite the positive responses, some people expressed worry about the issue of children’s privacy and them having to deal with malicious comments.

‘여긴 내 세상!’ 예능프로 접수한 아이들

요즘 많은 예능프로그램이 아이들을 출연시켜 큰 인기를 끌고 있다.

매주 일요일 방영되는 “아빠 어디가” 는 연예인 아버지와 아이가 엄마 없이 낯선 여행지로 1박2일 여행을 가는 상황을 그리는 주말 예능 프로그램이다. 방송에서는 아이들의 순수하고 독특한 성격과 변화하는 아빠와 아이의 관계에 초점을 맞추고 있다.

케이블 오디션 프로그램인 “보이스코리아 키즈”는 노래에 소질을 보이는 아이들 간 음악 경연을 펼칠 수 있는 장을 마련해주고 있다. 최종 우승한 한 팀은 장학금 3천만 원을 지급받는다.

아이들이 출연하는 예능 프로그램은 특히 장년층에게 인기를 끌고 있다.

50대의 한 트위터 유저는 “’아빠 어디가’ 의 다섯 아이들이 내 손주마냥 너무 귀엽다. 예측할 수 없는 아이들만의 돌발행동이 입가에 미소를 번지게 한다. 어느새 내 주말 저녁은 TV 앞에서 보내게 되었다” 라고 말했다.
