Chung-Ang University named Lee Yong-goo, professor of applied statistics of the business and economics school, its new president at its board meeting Monday.
Lee graduated from the economics department of Korea University in 1980 and acquired master’s and doctoral degrees in statistics from the University of Minnesota in the U.S.
He joined the faculty of Chung-Ang University in 1986, and has held important positions including chief of admissions and chief editor of the school newspaper.
He will take office as the 14th president on March 1 for a two-year term.
