아이돌 출신 남성 그룹 JYJ 멤버 김재중의 첫 솔로 앨범이 대만과 일본 음악차트 1위에 각각 올랐다고 소속사인 씨제스엔터테인먼트가 1일 밝혔다.

김재중의 미니앨범 ‘아이(I)’는 대만 파이브 뮤직(FIVE MUSIC)의 한일 앨범 판매차트 1위, 일본 음반 판매 체인인 신세이도의 앨범 주간 종합차트 1위를 차지했다.

록으로 구성된 이번 앨범에는 강렬한 록 사운드의 타이틀곡 ‘마인(Mine)’을 비롯해 김재중의 자작곡 ‘올 얼론(All Alone)’ 등이 수록됐다.

소속사는 “김재중의 앨범은 발매 2주 만에 국내와 해외 음반 판매량 집계 차트 1위를 차지했다”며 “일본 타워레코드 매장에는 김재중의 앨범 전용 판매대가 등장해 앨범이 빠르게 판매되며 품귀 현상을 빚기도 했다”고 설명했다.

김재중은 지난달 26-27일 일산 킨텍스에서 ‘유어, 마이 앤드 마인(Your, My and Mine)’이란 타이틀로 공연을 열어 1만 6천 명의 관객을 동원한 바 있다.

Korean idol group JYJ member Kim Jae-joong’s first solo album topped Japanese and Taiwanese music chart, his agency said.

C-JeS Entertainment announced on Monday that Kim’s EP album titled “I” ranked No. 1 on both “Five Music," the biggest Asian music chart in Taiwan, and Japan’s “Shinseido” weekly album chart.

The new album includes the title track “Mine,” an intense rock single, as well as Kim’s original composition “All Alone.”

“Kim’s album held first place on both domestic and overseas sales charts in two weeks,” the agency said. “The album has sold quickly in Japanese music stores and some of them reported being short on supply.”

The pop star previously held concerts dubbed “Your, My and Mine” on Jan. 26-27 to some 16,000 fans.
