Mickey Hyunyu Kim, the head of Google TV Partnerships in Asia Pacific, gave a speech to young Koreans about career building and the key to success on Wednesday.

On tvN’s “Star’s Special Lecture Show,” Kim said most Koreans were not familiar with scheduling work in sufficient detail.

“Many Koreans do not tend to plan their days. When their working hours and break time are not planned thoroughly, they may not be able to finish the given tasks,” he said.

Kim advised young people to “set timelines as if you are a kid planning for winter break.” He emphasized the efficiency of setting timelines that allocate specific time for specific tasks. Kim recommended using online calendars that sync with computers and cell phones.

Known as one of the successful Koreans that youth would most like to emulate, Mickey Kim earned his MBA from Haas School at UC Berkeley and entered Google in 2007.

이어 미키 김은 “어린이가 방학 계획을 세우는 것처럼 일정표를 짜야 한다” 고 말했다. 그는 다섯 가지 일이 있으면 각각의 일을 처리해야 하는 시간을 구체적으로 세워야 한다고 강조했다. 특히 스마트폰과 피씨에서 연동되는 온라인 일정표의 효율성을 언급했다.

이 외에 ‘노홍철의 경쟁력을 찾아라’, ‘왜 여자만 살림해’ 등을 주제로 열띤 강의를 펼쳤다.

미키김은 연세대학교를 졸업, 스물 다섯에 삼성전자에 입사해 버클리대학대학원 경영학 석사 과정을 수료, 글로벌 기업 구글에 입사해 현재 구글 본사 사업제휴 상무가 된 성공적인 커리어 달인이다. (코리아헤럴드)
