A theatrical play is being performed in Seoul’s Daehangno district to support overseas Koreans, according to Peace Asia, a group that supports ethnic Koreans living in foreign countries.

The play, “A Performance with a Long Title,” tells the story of four individuals who discover hope by revisiting their childhood dreams. Instead of purchasing tickets in advance, viewers can pay after the performance. There is no fixed price; one can pay as much as they like. 

The play’s producer and local theater troupe Changjakjipdan 36.5 is donating part of the profits from the show to Peace Asia. The troupe and the NGO are also scheduled to visit Ussuriysk, Russia, next month, to meet children of ethnic Korean families. They are planning to create another version of “A Performance with a Long Title,” starring the kids in the Russian city.

“This is an opportunity to enjoy a great play while helping overseas Koreans in need,” said Peace Asia. “We would also like to invite members of migrant families living in Korea.”
