Veterinarians in California said a dog credited with saving two girls from being struck by a motorcycle is getting closer to receiving reconstructive surgery.

University of California-Davis veterinarians said Kabang, a 2-year-old dog who lost her muzzle in last year‘s motorcycle crash, successfully underwent chemotherapy for the tumors that delayed her facial surgery, The Sacramento Bee reported Wednesday.

The vets said Kabang is now undergoing heartworm treatment before the reconstructive efforts can begin.

“Kabang begins her third week of ’bed rest‘ following her first heartworm treatment,” a Dec. 18 update on the William R. Pritchard Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital’s website said. “This will continue for about another three weeks. She is eager to go outside and play, but is accepting her needed rest well.”

Kabang was brought to the UC Davis hospital in October. The money for her care was raised via fundraising efforts on social media sites. (UPI)

수의학자들은 카방이 재건 수술에 앞서 심장사상충감염 치료를 받고 있다고 밝혔다.

윌리엄 프리처드 박사는 웹사이트를 통해 “카방의 심장사상충 치료가 3주 더 진행될 예정이다.”고 밝혔다.

영웅 개 카방은 지난 10월 이 병원에 입원했으며 그의 감동적인 사연을 접한 사람들이 소셜미디어를 통해 모금한 돈으로 치료비가 충당된 것으로 알려졌다. (코리아헤럴드)
