Chicago rapper Lil Reese issued an apology via Twitter for a video posted online that showed him beating up a young woman.

“Everybdy makes mistakes,” the tweet read. “I was out of charcter & ive grown sense then Dont judge me for my past i can admit my wrongs and I apologize.#3hunna.”

The apology came days after the video was posted online, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Sunday.

The video shows a young woman inquiring who let a group of young men into a home. She begins to argue with a young man, purported to be Lil Reese, who then gets close to the young woman and starts punching her.

Chicago police said they were not actively investigating the beating because they don‘t know who the victim is, when the incident occurred or where.

Lil Reese, whose real name is Tavares Taylor, is a 19-year-old rapper for Def Jam Recordings. (UPI)

논란이 된 비디오는 아파트 안으로 들어서려던 젊은 남성들이 이를 막아선 한 여성과 말다툼을 벌이다 얼굴을 가격하는 장면이 담겨 있었으며 폭력을 행사한 사람은 리즈인 것으로 알려졌다.

시카고 경찰은 피해자와 사건이 발생한 장소, 시간이 불명확해 적극적으로 수사를 진행하지 않고 있다고 말했다.
