Canadian pop star Justin Bieber’s mother confessed that she was sexually abused by multiple men in the past.

Pattie Mallete, the mother to one of the most popular stars in the world, talked about her experience of being sexually abused and how she felt ashamed in her new book “Nowhere But Up.”

In the book, Mallete said that she tried to kill herself before she gave birth to her son, Justin, because she was suffering from abuse and pain.

In an interview with Today Show, Pattie said she learned it’s normal and natural for anybody who has been through sexual abuse to carry feelings of shame.

“It just becomes something that they are familiar with and something that they are almost attracted to because their purity is taken at such a young age,” she added.

그녀는 또한 자신과 같은 경험을 한 사람들이라면, 그토록 어린 나에게 순결을 유린당했다는 사실에 누구나 그런 수치심을 느끼게 마련일 것이라고 덧붙였다. (코리아헤럴드)
