Football player Ki Sung-yueng gave behind the scenes stories for his team’s quest for the nation’s first-ever Olympic medal on SBS television talk show “Healing Camp” to be aired Monday.

Ki, well known for his confident demeanor and candid comments, offered his point of view on what happened in the locker room, anecdotes about stoic head coach Hong Myung-bo, and how the youthful Olympians celebrated after clinching the bronze medal by defeating arch-rival Japan.

However, Ki was not the only one that blurted out behind-the-scenes episodes.

The hosts of Healing Camp arranged a telephone call with Ki’s good friend and South Korean football team captain Koo Ja-cheol who let slip that the 23-year old midfielder was a “ladies’ man” who enjoys dancing every day.

Ki then moved on to more personal issues and talked about how he started playing football and difficulties he faced when he first joined the Celtic Football Club in the Scottish league. He said that riding the bench on the Scottish team made him feel hopeless.

Ki Sung-yueng also talked about his imminent transfer to another team, including his expected salary.

The show will be aired on Aug. 20.

그외에 기성용은 처음 대표팀에 합류할 당시 어려움, 홍명보 감독과의 에피소드, 축구를 시작한 후 겪은 역경 등을 털어놓았다.

그는 또한 최근 떠오르는 ‘기성용 이적설’에 관해 스스로 생각하는 자신의 몸값 수준을 포함해 솔직한 심경을 고백했다.
