Korea Elevator Safety Institute has launched the Korea Lift Safety Expo Committee to ensure a successful opening of its event in October, its press release said.
Under the theme of “Green City Week,” the expo will be held for four days from Oct. 23 at Coex in southern Seoul.
The event will feature not only exhibitions of elevators and escalators from companies around the world, but also construction and green building materials, the institute noted.
The institute’s president Kong Chang-seok has been appointed as the committee’s chair, who will also head the operations of the expo, and other related events and conferences.
Kong said the expo aims to show “never-before-seen” events and exhibitions this year, and that it will give industry players the chance to market and expose their products to the public.
He emphasized that it is important especially for the public to learn about safety through this year’s expo.
