LG CNS said Tuesday that it will hold an information technology conference that focuses on the upcoming big data era in southern Seoul next Thursday.

The conference, dubbed Entrue World 2012, will be themed “New frontier of the smart world: Advanced analytics,” and will present ways to analyze and utilize the massive amount of stacked data on the Web.

The event takes place as more data can be found online due to the country’s developing digital infrastructure and the rising number of people owning smart gadgets such as smartphones and tablet PCs.

With the goal of enabling organizations to forecast social phenomena through the analysis of big data and implement the results into their business strategies, global analyst Thomas Davenport will deliver a keynote speech on the subject at the event.

Davenport, a professor at Babson College, is the author of several well-known books, including “Analytics at Work: Smarter Decisions, Better Results” and “The Attention Economy: Understanding New Currency of Business.”
