Music lovers in Seoul are being invited to help African kids fight AIDS through a charity concert. Expat hip-hop and rock acts are set to perform at the concert to raise cash for a South African orphanage.
Money raised from the 3,000 won ticket price will go to the Al Noor Orphanage, which cares for orphans and disadvantaged children whose parents are either infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.
The main performers include American hip-hop artist Pinnacle TheHustler and rock band Dongmyo Police Box, with band members hailing from Canada, America and Korea. Also to perform is Jessy Day, a hip-hop artist whose songs have featured in dramas such as “Mischievous Kiss” and “Big Things.”
The concert organized by Mannam Volunteer Association aims to bring people from different cultures together through music as well as raising cash for a good cause.
The “Mannam Blossoms Hope in South Africa” concert will take place on April 7 at Korea University, on the fifth floor of the Science Library from 7- 9 p.m. The nearest station is Anam Subway Station, where attendees should depart from Exit 4.
