Prime Minister Kim Hwang-sik on Wednesday held a series of talks with visiting leaders from Algeria, Israel, Pakistan and Ukraine to discuss cooperation over this week’s Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul and other bilateral issues, his office said.

Kim held separate meetings with Abdelkader Bensalah, head of Algeria’s upper house of parliament, Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Dan Meridor and Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, followed by lunch with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, the office said in a press release.

The bilateral meetings covered a wide range of issues, including economic and trade cooperation, the situation on the Korean Peninsula, regional and global issues, as well as the two-day nuclear summit that ended Tuesday, according to the release.

The visiting leaders led their countries’ respective delegations to the summit, which drew representatives from a total of 53 nations and four international organizations to discuss safeguards against nuclear terrorism.
