Korea International Volunteers are to help out at a homeless shelter this Saturday. The group will assist in feeding about 450 homeless people at Thomas Homeless Shelter in Seoul’s Yeongdeungpo area. The helpers are to take on tasks such as cooking, cleaning, doing dishes, garbage disposal, and other jobs at the shelter from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. The shelter has been run by the Catholic Church for 20 years, but the volunteer group does not have any religious affiliation.
Although enough volunteers have signed up for this event, other volunteer opportunities can be found at www.meetup.com/volunteers/.
