An international cooking contest is being held to help raise money to donate English books to a Korean orphanage. The culinary competition in Chuncheon will be held on March 10.
The event to run from 12 p.m. at Chuncheon Youth Center will see budding chefs from different countries serve up international cuisine. Entrants should pay a 10,000 won entry fee by March 3 to take part, and be ready to prepare 1.5 portions of their dish for judges to taste.
Competitors can make either savory or desert dishes with all foods being judged on balance, taste and originality.
Money raised from the registration fee will be used to buy books for children at a local orphanage by the Chuncheon Volunteers.
