The European Chamber of Commerce in Korea plans to hold two seminars on energy and joint ventures, respectively, this week.

The forum on energy, organized by the EUCCK’s Energy and Environment Committee, will take place at 8:00 a.m. at the Ritz Carlton Hotel on Thursday.

The breakfast seminar has invited KEPCO general manager Park Seong-cheol to talk about the company’s International Cooperation Division’s role and how it applies to European Union stakeholders.

The meeting costs 35,000 won for committee members and 60,000 won for EUCCK members.

Also at the Ritz Hotel in Gangnam, the Intellectual Property arm of the chamber will host a luncheon seminar on joint ventures in China examining practical guides and dispute resolution.

This seminar aims to provide practice-oriented legal advice on joint ventures for companies interested in investing in the Chinese market; provide legal departments in international companies considering or already present in China with general information on relevant arbitration and mediation mechanisms for dispute resolution.

Guest speakers include experts from Herbert Smith LLP Shanghai, Kim and Chang, Haemaru Law Firm and the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board.

The seminar starts at 9 a.m. and costs 60,000 won for EUCCK members and is free to IP Center members. For more information, visit www.eucck.org.
