Hana Tour said it has attracted 107,000 Koreans for their overseas tour packages in September, unchanged from the figure a year earlier. Despite the relatively-short Chuseok holiday and economic situation in the eurozone, the Korean demand for overseas travel was unchanged, the company said. By regions, Southeast Asia was the most popular destination, followed by China and Japan. Europe and the U.S. saw a 22 percent and 11 percent increase in the number of Korean travelers in September, year-on-year, the company said. For October and November, Southeast Asia will become more popular with the honeymoon season, it said.
