BEIJING (AP) _ A Chinese man who allegedly killed his wife and eight other people in a fit of jealous rage has been arrested.

State media say 32-year-old fruit seller Qin Changcheng allegedly went on the rampage Monday in the northern city of Baotou. Those killed also included his uncle, aunt and the boss of a car wash where his wife formerly worked.

Qin was tracked down and arrested by officers in the neighboring province of Hebei late Tuesday. The reports said he had argued with his wife over suspicions that she was cheating on him and that he also had multiple conflicts with relatives.

Such criminal cases in China are usually dealt with swiftly and those found guilty executed.

中남성, 부정의심 아내 등 9명 살해

중국의 한 남성이 아내의 부정을 의심,  아 내를 포함해 9명을 한꺼번에 살해하는 사건이 발생했다고 신화통신이 28일 보도했다 .

중국 허베이성 보터우(泊頭)시 공안은 지난 26일 아내와 아내가 일하던  세차장 의 사장, 아내의 친척 등 9명을 살해한 혐의로 친(秦)모(32) 씨를 체포했다.

친씨가 마을에서 흉기를 무차별적으로 휘두르는 바람에 희생자 가운데는 무고한 마을 주민도 상당수 포함됐다.

친씨는 경찰에 체포된 이후 자신을 속인 부인에게 복수하려고 범행했다고  진술 했다.

중국에서는 개인적인 원한을 가졌거나 심지어 아무런 이유 없이 불특정  다수에 게 흉기를 무차별적으로 휘두르는 사건이 자주 발생해 심각한 사회 문제가 되고  있 다.

지난해 3월 푸젠(福建)성 난핑(南坪)시의 한 초등학교 앞에서 의사 출신인 40대 남성이 무차별적으로 휘두른 칼에 초등생 8명이 숨지고 5명이 부상하는 등 중국에서 최근 1년 6개월 새 '묻지 마 칼부림'이 연쇄적으로 발생, 100여명이 숨지거나  부상 했다.
