South Korean footballer Jung Jo-gook will move from AJ Auxerre to AS Nancy in the top division of the French league on a loan deal, the player’s agency here said Friday.
Jissen said Jung will be on loan to AS Nancy until June next year, when the ongoing French season will end.
The two clubs involved have agreed not to disclose further details of the deal, according to the agency.
Jung joined AJ Auxerre in January this year, after scoring a career-high 13 goals for FC Seoul in the K-League and helping guide the team to its first league title in 10 years. But in France, he has only appeared in 16 games, scoring twice.

AS Nancy, meanwhile, has been seeking some offensive help after netting only three goals in the first five games of the season.
Nancy’s current head coach is Jean Fernandez, who was Jung’s bench boss with Auxerre last season.
Jung is expected to see more action at the new club. The team’s website said Jung would be its “joker,” or a term in football referring to a player who can provide some offensive jolt off the bench.
Fernandez told the website Eurosport.com, “We are doing all we can, taking into account the urgency of the situation. Jo, as we called him at Auxerre, is a true striker who knows how to be opportunistic and has an excellent work ethic.”
Nancy is ranked 18th among 20 teams with three losses and two draws. Auxerre is ranked 10th with one win, one loss and three draws.
