Gwangju International Center is running a tour to Hwasun on Saturday.

The tour will visit Hwasun Dolmen Site, before moving on to enjoy a lunch of duck stew in a traditional “yellow earth” house.

In the afternoon, the tour will move on to Unju-sa, a temple famous for its statues, including its reclining Buddha statue. The last stop is Dorae Maeul, where you can look around a traditional village and nobleman’s house.

The guide for the tour, which leaves at 10 a.m., will be Warren Parsons, an English teacher who has been in Korea for five years.

The cost is 25,000 won, including lunch and travel. To attend, visit www.gic.or.kr by June 15 to sign up.

Contact (062) 226-2733 or gictour@gic.or.kr for enquiries.
