The Corea Image Communication Institute, which promotes Korea’s brand home and abroad, said it will release a theme song “Four Seasons of Love” on May 24.
As the title suggests, the song depicts Korea’s four seasons with an easy-to-sing-along melody and rhythm, the CICI said.
Architect and singer Yang Jin-seok composed the song and wrote the lyrics.
The launching ceremony will be held at the German Embassy where seven Ambassadors to Korea, 70 expatriates, foreign CEOs and cultural leaders are scheduled to gather to celebrate the occasion, the institute said. Woo Jung-hoon, singer and graduate student of Manhattan School of Music, will sing the song at the ceremony.
“It will be a meaningful time among Koreans and foreigners together to promote Korea through a song of K-pop,” said Choi Jung-wha, president of the CICI.
The song will be released as a single CD and a digital single, both in Korean and English.
The seven ambassadors to attend the event are from Germany, Slovakia, EU, Japan, Russia, Singapore and Israel.
On the launch day, there will be also a singing competition in which Peter Tan, Singapore’s Ambassador to Korea, Mary-Mcgillis Mackee, wife of the Irish Ambassador to Korea, Christophe Piganiol, president of Zuellig Pharma Korea and other Korean corporate executives will participate.
