Sleepy husband stabs wife for waking him up

SELANGOR - An angry husband, who was awakened from his morning slumber, beat up and stabbed his wife, Harian Metro reported. The woman is now in a coma and fighting for her life at a hospital, the paper said.

A police source told the daily that the couple in their 30s had quarrelled at their home after the wife woke him up at about 6am on Sunday and asked him to perform his dawn prayers.

After repeatedly telling his wife not to bother him, the man lost his patience and started to beat her up.

Despite the assaults, the woman continued to nag him to pray which further infuriated the man. He then took out a knife and stabbed her in the abdomen.

The victim's screams alerted a neighbour who rushed to the house. 'On seeing the neighbour, the husband fled,' the police source said.

Ampang Jaya police chief Amiruddin Jamaluddin said the police had mounted a manhunt for the suspect.

남편의 폭행에도 불구하고 아내는 남편에게 기도를 하러 가자고 말하며 그를 성가시게 했고 이에 남편은 격노하며 칼을 찾아 들고 아내의 복부를 찌르기 시작했다.

아내의 비명소리를 들은 이웃이 그들의 집으로 뛰어왔고 이내 자신의 이웃을 본 남편이 도주를 하였다.

경찰은 현재 탈주한 남편을 용의자로 수색 중이라고 전했다.
