The House of Sharing, a home for women who were forced to work as sex slaves during World War II, will open for an English-language tour on April 14.

The tour will visit the House of Sharing museum, which documents the history of Japan’s WWII sex slavery with testimonies, artifacts, photographs and videos. It also shows original paintings by the survivors.

After the museum visit there will be a question-and-answer session, followed by a chance to meet the surviving women who live at the shelter, providing their condition allows for it.

The group will meet at Gangbyeon Station at noon and take a private bus to the museum, where they will stay until 5 p.m. Entrance is 5,000 won for adults, 3,000 won for children, and free for senior citizens and disabled people. The bus costs 4,000 won round trip.

To attend email nanum365@gmail.com with your name, contact number, the date of the tour and number of people accompanying you.

Those wishing to make a donation or purchase something should bring cash, as the museum does not take cards.
