May : 그냥 괜찮다고? 별로 탐탁지 않은 것 같은데. 무슨 문제 있어?
John : Oh, it‘s just a bit different from what I expected. I expected something I could use in actual situations as soon as I graduate. But it’s all about economic theories.
John : 아, 그저 내가 생각하고 있던 것하고는 좀 달라서 그래. 난 졸업하자 마자 실제 상황에서 써먹을 수 있을 만한 걸 기대했거든. 그런데 이건 몽땅 다 경제 이론에 관한 것뿐 이더라고.
May : Well, maybe those theories will turn out to be practical after all. You haven‘t started your real career yet.
May : 글쎄, 어쩌면 그 이론들이 결국에는 실제적인 것이 될 수도 있잖아. 너는 아직 진짜 경력을 쌓기 시작한 것도 아니고 말이야.
John : You’re right. Maybe I‘m impatient. It seems like I’m wasting my time, that‘s all.
John : 그 말이 맞아. 어쩌면 내가 조급한 건지도 모르지. 그냥 시간 낭비를 하고 있는 것 같아서 그래, 그것 뿐이야.
May : What do you really want to do after you graduate?
May : 졸업하고 나면 정말 뭘 하고 싶은데?
John :To tell the truth, I’m not even sure what I really want. It‘s still up in the air.
John :사실대로 말하자면, 내가 정말 원하는 게 뭔지도 잘 모르겠어. 여전히 확실하지가 않아.
