Andi: Where shall we hold this week’s meeting?
Andi : 이번 주 회의를 어디서 가질까요?

Clara: Why not the usual place?
Clara: 그냥 평소 만나던 곳에서 하지 그래요?

Andi: I think a change of venue would help everybody be more sharp. The same old place is dull.
We need to liven things up a bit. Don’t you think?
Andi : 회의 장소를 바꿔보는 것도 사람들이 좀 더 머리회전이 잘 되도록 하는 데 도움이 될 거 같아요. 예전의 똑 같은 장소는 너무 식상하잖아요.

Clara: Now that you say it, I can see it. OK, let’s change. Where?
Clara: 그렇게 얘기 하니까 그런 것 같네요. 좋아요, 바꿔보죠. 어디로 할까요?

Andi: Let’s have it outside.
Andi : 밖에서 한 번 해 봐요.

Clara: Maybe that would be too distracting.
Clara: 너무 산만할 것도 같은데.

Andi: Yes, maybe you’re right. I’ve got it, let’s have it at the Bulldog café. We could rent it for the night and mix business with pleasure!
Andi : 네, 그럴 것도 같네요. 알았다! Bulldog 카페에서 갖죠? 밤 시간 동안 빌려서 즐기면서 업무얘기도 하는 거에요.

Clara: Yes, you’re right. I think everybody could use a change of pace!
Clara: 네, 맞아요. 모두가 좀 색다른 것을 이용할 수 있을 거 같아요.

Andi: Yeah, and I think most everybody deserves a chance to unwind a bit after all this work we’ve been doing lately.
Andi : 네, 그리고 우리 모두는 최근에 해 오고 있는 이 일을 다 끝내고 좀 쉴 기회를 가질 만도 하잖아요.

Clara:I’ll make the arrangements. Good call!
Clara: 제가 예약을 할게요. 정말 좋은 생각이네요.

[어휘해설]

- venue: place where some event is held. (어떤 행사가 열리는 장소)
ex) concert venue = concert hall
- liven things up: make lively, cheer up (생기 있게 하다)
- change of pace: something different from what normally occurs.
(보통 일어나는 것과는 좀 다른 것)
- unwind: relax (풀다, 짐을 벗다, 긴장을 풀다)
