Minnesota Twins' South Korean slugger Park Byung-ho homered for the second straight day on Tuesday in Minneapolis.

Park launched a solo shot to left in the bottom of the eighth against the Milwaukee Brewers at Target Field, cutting the Twins' deficit to 5-3.

It was Park's team-high fourth home run of the year. All four have come with the bases empty and against right-handed pitchers.

The Twins tied things up at 5-5 later in the eighth with a two-run shot by Eddie Rosario, but gave up the go-ahead run in the top ninth to lose 6-5. Their winning streak was snapped at four.

Park went 2-for-4 for his second consecutive multihit game, and raised his batting average to .233.

Park started the game batting sixth and playing first base. He hit a single up the middle his first time up in the second, but flied out to left in the third and struck out in the sixth.

Then, with one out in the eighth, Park crushed a hanging curveball by Tyler Thornburg and sent it to the second deck in left field.

He has five RBIs and has scored five runs so far.

In the National League, Oh Seung-hwan of the St. Louis Cardinals extended his scoreless innings streak to 7 2/3 with a clean frame against the Chicago Cubs.

With the Cards trailing 2-1 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Oh pitched a perfect sixth inning with two strikeouts in relief of starter Jaime Garcia.

Oh got Ben Zobrist to fly out to left on four pitches. He then struck out Miguel Montero looking on a 2-2 two-seam fastball at 94 miles per hour. The next batter, Addison Russell, went down swinging on another 94-mph two-seamer, this time on a 1-2 count.

Oh needed 15 pitches to retire the side, and 10 of them were strikes.

Kevin Siegrist took over from Oh to start the seventh.

Oh has given up just one hit in 7 2/3 innings across seven appearances, while striking out 13 and walking five.

The Cardinals lost the game 2-1 despite outhitting the Cubs 7-5. (Yonhap)
