WARSAW, Poland -- The first ladies of South Korea and Poland visited an exhibition on Mexican artist Frida Kahlo at Warsaw's Royal Lazienki Museum and met scout members in the country as part of friendly engagements, the presidential office said Thursday.

Kim Keon Hee and her Polish counterpart, Agata Kornhauser-Duda, have met twice at NATO summits since last year. Thursday was their third meeting, during President Yoon Suk Yeol's official visit to the European country.

"I hope the relationship between Korea and Poland will be woven more tightly together, like these ribbons woven together," Kim said while participating in ribbon weaving at the museum.

Kim also toured the Palace on the Isle in Warsaw's largest park, Lazienki Park, with Kornhauser-Duda. In the guestbook, Kim wrote, "The beautiful look of the Palace on the Isle will remain in my memory for a long time. I hope the friendship and cooperation between Korea and Poland deepen further."

Later, the spouses of the two leaders met with Polish scout members at Belvedere Palace, a state guest house and presidential residence. Kim offered her encouragement to Polish members participating in the 25th World Scout Jamboree, which South Korea is hosting next month, and wished for youth exchanges between the two countries to become active. Poland is the host of the next World Jamboree.
