More than 60 percent of visitors to the Hello Kitty Island Jeju are family tourists, according to the museum. The Hello Kitty-themed museum has received more than 150,000 visitors since they opened in December 2013. Of them, 10 percent are foreign. The museum consists of a Hello Kitty character exhibition room, a 3-D movie theater, hands-on art and music sessions, and a playground with sports facilities and a photo studio.

“Some limited-edition character products and family-friendly programs in our museum have been able to attract family tourists. We will continue to develop more programs that can be experienced by international tourists,” said Kim Jong-seok, CEO of Hello Kitty Island in Jeju.

The Hello Kitty Island is located on the 1135 road that connects Seogwipo City and Jeju City.
