The hotel is gradually renovating its 283 guestrooms, with the work on suite rooms already completed. Its kitchen won the grand prize in the culinary division of the 32nd National Skills Competition.

Opened in 1983, the hotel earned a five-star status in 2002 and has affiliate hotels in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province; Mokpo, South Jeolla Province; and Vladivostok, Russia. Its branch in Gangneung, Gangwon Province, is currently under renovation and is scheduled to reopen in May 2015.
