Gala dinner at Ambassador Hotel Group
The Ambassador Hotel Group will host gala dinners with a Michelin starred chef to mark the 130th anniversary of Korea-France diplomatic ties. The events will take place at Grand Ambassador Seoul on Nov. 9 and at Novotel Ambassador Seoul Gangnam on Nov. 11.
The event will feature five wines from the Bordeaux, Bourgogne and Chatelain regions, which will be paired with a seven-course menu prepared by chef William Ledeuil from France. He will showcase traditional French cuisine using local ingredients.
Grand Ambassador Seoul will serve Korean beef tenderloin confit, a traditional French recipe that involves marinating meat in its own fat and cooking it at low temperature over a long time. Novotel Ambassador Seoul Gangnam will serve Korean beef tenderloin steak with sesame and gat kimchi made of mustard leaves.
Chef Ledeuil will explain the cooking for the guests, and live jazz music will accompanied the dinner, along with a lucky draw event. The price is 250,000 won per person. Burgers at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul
The JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul’s famous steak restaurant BLT Steak is offering premium burgers from Oct. 25.
American Black Angus beef patty, served with a freshly baked potato flour bun, hot melted Fontina cheese, crispy bacon, fresh lettuce and tomato as well as french fries will be served.

Risotto and seafood at Millennium Seoul Hilton
Millennium Seoul Hilton’s Italian restaurant Il Ponte is offering risotto and seafood dishes throughout October. The promotion will showcase a la carte options as well as a set menus.
The a la carte menu includes: risotto with cuttlefish and squid ink; risotto with radicchio and porcini mushroom; risotto with green and white asparaguses. The dishes range in price from 34,000 won to 37,000 won.
The set menu features a four-course dish of seared sea scallops and tomato salsa served with parmesan crisp and arugula salad; prawn and sea bass risotto flavored with saffron, olive and pistachio-crusted beef tenderloin, served with baby carrots and sun-dried tomato mash; and chocolate and pistachio mille feuille served with berries compote and strawberry ice cream. The set menu dish is 89,000 won per person.

Persimmon beverages at Imperial Palace Seoul Hotel
Imperial Palace Seoul Hotel’s Lobby Lounge Delmar is offering healthy beverages made of soft persimmon until the end of November. Drinks include persimmon juice, persimmon smoothies and persimmon cocktails. The persimmon juice is made with honey and enjoyed with ice. The persimmon smoothie is concocted with iced persimmon, milk and vanilla ice cream for its creamy texture and sweet taste. The persimmon cocktail is mixed with rum.
Persimmon is rich in vitamins and known to help strengthen the immune system and relieve hangover. All beverages are 20,500 won each, with tax and service charges included.

Piedmont mushroom dishes at InterContinental Seoul Coex
Italian restaurant and bar Sky Lounge located on the 30th floor of the InterContinental Seoul Coex is offering mushroom dishes from the Piedmont region in Italy -- south of Switzerland and bordering France -- famous for mushrooms, until the end of November.
The Piedmont course menu is prepared by executive chef Federico Rossi who is from Venice. The menu consists of lobster and shrimp salad, tuna carpaccio, chickpea soup, agnolotti pasta, and Korean beef tenderloin steak with truffle wine sauce. The dessert is persimmon sorbet served with chocolate and the choice of coffee or tea.
