[THE INVESTOR] Samsung Electronics has apologized to customers for technical glitches during the online sales of its Galaxy S7 edge Injustice Edition, or as it is often dubbed -- the Batman phone.
Soon after the phone went on sale online at 10 a.m. on June 13, around 1,300 orders -- 300 more than the number of smartphones available for sale -- were allowed to be made, due to systemic errors on the website.

“If the additional 300 consumers still want to purchase the phone, the company will produce extra units. But they will not be emblazoned with the serial codes given to the limited edition,” the company said.
Samsung Electronics said it had called each of the 300 customers to apologize and promised to send them a headset for free.
The limited edition smartphone model was sold out within 10 minutes after its release.
The Korean smartphone maker rolled out the Batman phone in collaboration with U.S. movie producers Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the mobile game “Injustice: Gods Among Us,” which features the character Batman.
