Singer and actress Yoo Chae-yeong died Thursday following a months-long battle against advanced gastric cancer. She was 41.
According to her agency 150 Entertainment, Yoo was diagnosed with advanced gastric cancer last October and battled against her critical condition until Thursday, when she passed away in the Severance Hospital in Sinchon-dong, Seoul.

“Her husband and other family (members) stayed by her side until the last moment,” the agency said. “She did not leave any last words.”
Meanwhile, fellow celebrities including singer and songwriter Joo Young-hoon, comedian Kim Kyung-jin and singer and actor Ha Dong-hoon expressed their sorrow on social networking services.
“Today, a beloved colleague left us,” Joo said. “Even the sky is pouring and crying with us.”
Yoo debuted as a singer in 1994 as a member of the unisex group Cool and then broadened her career into acting. She is survived by her husband Kim Joo-hwan, whom she married in 2008.
