NCsoft will hold an exhibition of its online game “Lineage 2” until Sept. 2 at the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art, the gaming company said Wednesday.
Based on the story line written for its popular online game, collections such as photos, sculptures and videos related to the game will be displayed throughout the art gallery, according to NCsoft officials.

The show has been named “Bartz Revolution” to commemorate the biggest event in the game’s history when an alliance called “Dragon Knights” took control of a “Lineage 2” server dubbed “Bartz” until it was freed by another united group of users in 2004.
“Although the exhibition itself does not focus on that particular event, it is one of the most remembered and talked about among the game players, which is why we decided to stick to the name,” said an NCsoft official.
“Lineage 2” is an online game released in 2003. It still gets upgraded thanks to the loyalty of its players. As it is always ranked among the top 10 games played at the country’s PC rooms, NCsoft has been holding various offline events for its users.
“This exhibition is different compared to other game-related art fairs because it concentrated on the social effects of the online game, which is seen as the play travels through imaginary space within the game as well as reality,” said Shin Min-kyun, vice president of the Global Business Center at NCsoft.
