KOCIS held two competitions ― “Talk Talk Korea” and “Peace Flag Campaign” ― last May to mark the 70th Liberation Day, to which some 16,000 pictures, art postcards, videos, calligraphy works and webtoons about Korea and its image were submitted by participants from 143 countries, according to the state-run agency.

The “Hello, Korea” exhibition at the National Library of Korea in Seocho-gu, Seoul, features 100 award-winning works from the 300 entries that won recognition in the two competitions.

“This exhibition is meaningful as it allows us to share with the public the foreign participants’ works about Korea and the country’s strong message of peace for the world,” KOCIS said in a press statement.

It added that the National Library will also exhibit a media artwork shaped like a globe featuring the Korean folk song “Arirang.”
