South Korean builders Hyundai Engineering and Construction and Daewoo Engineering and Construction began sales of a mega-scale apartment complex in Gyo-dong, Paldal-gu, in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, this month.

According to the firms on Sunday, 33 15-story apartment buildings with three basement floors, which can house up to 2,586 households, have been built in Suwon’s 115-6 redevelopment district.

Of them, 1,550 apartment units ranging from 39 to 98 square meters go on sale from December.

There will be 39 units of 39 square meters, 188 units of 43 square meters, 114 units of 49 square meters, 513 units of 59 square meters, 232 units of 74 square meters, 460 units of 84 square meters and four units of 98 square meters, mainly small and midsized units for single households and newlyweds.

Hyundai E&C has touted the complex’s convenient location -- Hillstate Prugio Suwon is located about 850 meters away from Suwon Station on Subway Line No. 1. It takes three minutes to walk from the complex to Maegyo Station on the Bundang Line.

When the GTX-C train line is established, it will take 22 minutes to get from Suwon Station to Samseong Station, the company said.

The complex is also located adjacent to East Suwon Interchange, which leads to Yeongdong Expressway. Other nearby facilities include shopping malls AK Plaza and Lotte Mall.

“Residents will now be able to enjoy the premium apartment brand of Hyundai E&C and Daewoo E&C,” said a Hyundai E&C official.
