SK Hynix on Tuesday said it has established an analysis center within its research and development center in its headquarter city of Icheon, Gyeonggi Province.

Analysis is an essential step in semiconductor development, especially as demand is growing for intricate and more developed technology procedures, SK Hynix said.

“Semiconductors need to be developed without a centimeter of error, for which analysis plays a key role,” said SK Hynix CEO Park Sung-wook.

“I hope our new center will lay the foundation for us becoming the world’s top semiconductor company.”

The new center, measuring some 3,300 square meters, will bring under one roof the analysis departments currently located in different buildings, thus raising efficiency, the memory chipmaker said.
