Chrysanthemum Exhibition of the Garden of Morning Calm


Visitors to the Chrysanthemum Exhibition can enjoy the blazing fall foliage of nearby Chungnyeongsan and the golden waves created by the pine trees, as well as the myriad fully bloomed chrysanthemums covering just about every corner of the 330,000-square-meter outdoor garden.
The festival runs through Nov. 24 and is open to visitors of all ages.

Seoul Lantern Festival


The annual Seoul Lantern Festival, one of Seoul’s representative festivals, is held from the first Friday to the third Sunday of November. Every year nearly 3 million visitors can expect to see lanterns along the 1.3-kilometer stream Cheonggyecheon, which stretches all the way from Cheonggye Plaza to Supyogyo bridge.
It has already begun and continues until Nov. 17.

Bangeo Festival


The Bangeo Festival will be held Nov. 21-24 at the Moseulpo port in the southernmost region of Jeju Island. It celebrates the bangeo fish, or yellowtail, which is largely caught in this area.
Visitors can also try fishing and sample Jeju’s other specialty foods, such as heukdweji-gogigui (grilled pork), galchijorim (cutlass fish boiled in soy sauce with spices) and more.

E-World Starlight Festival


E-World Starlight Festival is held with 10 million lights in a large area around E-World and 83 Tower in Daegu. Hot-air balloons, roses and mask light decorations and other events are available at this carnival-like festival.
Large trees are decorated along the 200-meter Light Road, as well as the Umbrella Road, Carnival Road and a photo zone with 1,000 lights. Some 10,000 light-emitting diode roses cover the proposal stairs.
The festival is being held from Nov. 16 to March 1.

Mindungsan Eulalia Festival


The Mindungsan Eulalia Festival is taking place in the Mindungsan area in Gangwon Province, celebrating the revered plant also known as silvergrass.
Events include weekend mountain climbing, talent contests, Arirang singing contests, eulalia music concerts, a gateball competition and eulalia photo exhibitions. There are also opportunities to taste local food, write postcards and try mountain horseback riding.
It is open to visitors of all ages, until Sunday.
