The Central Officials Training Institute has developed a new public speaking training program for government officials, in an effort to raise Korea’s competitiveness in international organizations, said officials.
According to COTI officials, the institute located in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, will conduct a Global Presentation Skills Course for over 40 officials from central and local government agencies.
The course seeks to strengthen the presentational and public speaking skills of officials who when dispatched abroad may better compete within international organizations like the United Nations and the OECD.
“This training program features what might be called ‘three-way training,’ composed of a series of lecturer demonstrations, participant presentations, and lecturer feedback in rotation,” said an official.
The course will be held between Sept. 19 to 23 and, according to the officials, student anticipation is high, as the target enrollment for the course was 25.
