Hyundai Motor Co.'s display audio system has won the Editors' Choice Award for its innovative technology during the Consumer Electronics Show under way in Las Vegas, the company said Friday.
The award is granted by Reviewed.com, a subsidiary of USA Today, which jointly assesses with the editors-in-chief of other major media companies the technologies, designs and other aspects of products showcased at the event.
The 7-inch touch screen display audio system allows for the use of smartphone functions by connecting it to apps of Apple and Google through its Blue Link technology. Available services include navigation, phone calls, text messaging and music listening.
Hyundai Motor expects the system to lower the overall cost burden for consumers by enabling easy connections to their existing smart devices, making it unnecessary to set up other in-vehicle electronic products. The automaker plans to supply the display audio system to North American markets within this year. (Yonhap)
